Thanksgiving Preparation

Usually this blog is for us to brag about our kids, but this time I have to brad a little bit about my husband. When we lived in Highmore, had no kids and were bored one night before Thanksgiving, so we decided to make an apple pie - which to me meant, throw the stuff together put a top piece of crust on it and call it good, but Jed had different ideas and got creative, even doing the decorative top. Well, that has followed him to this day and he didn't get out of Thanksgiving this year without being "asked" (okay told) by his mother-in-law if he would be in charge of making the apple pies for our Thanksgiving get together this year. So, here are some pics so you actually all believe that he did it, because anyone who knows me well enough knows I do not have the patience to make the top of a pie look like this one. And I know some of Jed's relatives will tease him, and I am fine with that :-) but I think it's pretty neat, how many husbands really would do this???

P.S. Not only did it look good but it tasted great too.

LOVE the patience on the pie. Don't think I don't know the real reason for your Thanksgiving plans (CSL??);-), but very good looking pie!!

Thanks a lot Jed. Now all I hear is, "See, Jed did this for his wife." But really, you did a great job! We can't wait until the next family get together and taste some apple pie.

Jed, I am impressed.

That says it all.

....what do you mean some of Jed's relatives will make fun of him? All of us have nothing but the utmost respect for Jed.
