Calling All People With A Creative Idea...

Alright, ANYONE who has a creative idea for potty training this 3 1/2 year old is very much welcome to post on this entry or e-mail me at sld_dewitz@yahoo.com.   Seriously!  But it can't be the normal potty training "tricks".  Believe me when I say we have tried everything.  So, put your thinking caps on and give me a creative potty training tip/trick.  Please, please, please!

"Funny in the Head"

Kyra met a cute little curly red haired boy named Jagger at preschool and she kind of has a crush on him.  You know how it goes, can't stop smiling when she is talking about him, asks a lot of questions about him, etc.  This morning Carley and Gavin were teasing her about Jagger and Kyra said, "You know when you tease me about Jagger and talk about Jagger I get kind of funny feeling in the head."  Are you kidding me?  You are FOUR!!!!  Heaven help us when she is fourteen.  Yikes!  At least she is thinking rationally.  Gavin said, "Your going to marry him."  To which Kyra replied, "Gavin I have to know how old he is before I can marry him."  Oh boy.  Literally!

"Mom Book"

On the way home from school today Gavin was explaining a new reading program that his class will be starting next week.  Basically it has "steps" and each step has a different set of books/difficulty.  Their goal is to make it to the "Blue 15" step.  I asked him if anyone could read that level yet and he said, "Yeah, Hillary can.  She can read Mom books."  It was on the tip of my tongue to ask what a "mom book" was and he beat me to it, "you know, one of those books with no pictures."

Update

Haven't posted pics in a while, so here you go..
Gavin was helping Jed sand an old desk that Jed bought at a garage sale (about 6 years ago).  It is slow going but they are finally starting to get rid of that nice blue paint that was on it.

Kyra was very into her cract project the other day.  She didn't even know she had something on her face.
We had our annual pumpkin and gourde picking day last weekend.  Didn't have a lot of little gourdes this year but had a lot of medium sized gourdes and a bunch of "cinderella pumpkins" (red, short, fat) and some very nice carving pumpkins for this year.  We also picked our decoration corn and the rest of our watermelons (we ended up with about 20+ at the end of the day).  Needless to say we shared some with the neighbors and we still have a huge load left.  Watermelon anyone?

Look closely, there is a surprise in the stump.

Had to do our annual fall picture outing as well (not a big outing - just to the neighbors).  Have some good and some not so good, but it was work the walk down there!

This is Jed trying to get 5 kids to lay on the ground and look in the general direction of the camera for a split second.  Yes, I will admit, I was behind the camera laughing.  :-)
We got one...they are all sitting, all looking in the general area.  Yeah!  Love to have cousin Jason amongst us as well.

Reagan is a really good little winker.  She can do a true wink.  Carley was trying to do it the other day and below are the pictures of her trying her best to make one eye close and one eye stay open.
