Both kids were so excited for the first day of school - especially Kyra, she has been ready for school for 3 years!
I actually had to "limit" how much time Kyra spent on practicing her letters the first two weeks of school. She literally spent HOURS each afternoon writing her letters and practicing the correct way to form them. It was not assigned or even suggested that she do it, but she just wanted to do it. What initiative - if only she could bottle some of that up and give it to her brother who HATES homework!
